Today I decided to do something a little different. Inspiration has been coming to me in abundant forms.
I don’t know who is reading this or how long you’ve been “following” my journey, but I feel the desire to share something simple, raw, and present.
Right now it is 12:18 in the afternoon. I am sitting on a balcony in Koh Phangan, Thailand.
I woke up late today…went to bed late too. My alarm was set for 8am, but I slept till 9:30.
When I somewhat woke up, one of my first conscious thoughts was to love myself. Without even thinking about it, I sat up in my bed, (slowly and half asleep) kept my eyes closed, and took a couple of long deep breaths. A new day. I told myself, “I love you” I sat there for, I don’t know how long, said a couple of affirmations to myself, and thanked the entirety. I guess you can say it was a short morning prayer.
Gradually and with ease, I made my way out of bed and fed the 13 cats I am babysitting. (I get to stay in a beautiful home for free while the owner is away, in exchange I care for her 13 meow meows.)
Abundance comes in many forms.
Eventually I made my way to the kitchen where I made a nice morning detox tea of
- and a dash of soy milk
I sat outside on the beautiful balcony, sipped my tea, enjoyed the surroundings, and took about 15 minutes to make a post on instagram.
When I finished the tea, I went inside to do a morning work-out. This morning I started with cardio, which I normally don’t do, but today just felt different. I don’t know what your work-out routine is, or if you have one, but I’ll tell you what, doing cardio the AM takes motivation that I just did not have in that moment.
My work-out was cut short but I didn’t really mind because I went to ecstatic dance the night before (hence the late night) and I moved my ass more than a fair amount.
So I moved onto my morning meditation
I do my meditataion in front of a small alter (dedicated to the elements) I have set up in my room. I spend 7 minutes on an abundance mantra and mudra, followed by an alchemy meditation. Which is basically meditating one by one on each element (earth, air, water, fire, spirit) thanking and acknowledging each for what it is. A simple and powerful practice.
After finishing meditation I washed my face, brushed my teeth, rolled a spliff, stayed naked, and grabbed my laptop to work on posts.
And here we are.
Outside on this serene balcony, in Thailand, surrounded by cats.
Lately, I have been on a mission to share my travels stories, tips, and experiences. Hungry to spread knowledge on trinity health (body, mind, spirit) A desire to expand my networking and offer my skills as a fire dancer, model, and yoga asana instructor.
It’s a grand mission that takes dedication and passion.
My posts, mostly, have been focused on advice, tips, and tutorials. Which is beautiful and helpful, but today I was inspired to share with you some daily experiences living on this magical island, abroad for a year, left with $350 in my bank account, nothing booked or planned, and not a single worry.
I wanted to share my current and divine moment as it is.
I wish to remind you to take time to nourish your trinity, honor the surroundings, acknowledge daily miracles, and take pleasure in life.
